Fingal is a city in Barnes County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 97 at the 2010 census.[1] Fingal was founded in 1891.

Fingal was named and settled by immigrants from Fingal, Ontario, Canada.

There were 62 housing units at an average density of 154.1 per square mile (59.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.74% White, 0.75% Native American, and 1.50% from two or more races.

There were 51 households out of which 31.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.9% were married couples living together, 13.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.5% were non-families. 25.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 3.16.

In the city the population was spread out with 30.1% under the age of 18, 5.3% from 18 to 24, 26.3% from 25 to 44, 15.8% from 45 to 64, and 22.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
